Association Directory Serves Both Residents and Associations

The Association Directory serves both as a functional database for Turku region residents and as a convenient communications channel for the area's associations, societies and non-profit organisations.

Residents of the City of Turku and its environs will find the directory helpful in locating information about associations, societies and non-profit organisations, as they look for new hobbies, for instance. Associations are listed in the directory based on their field of activity, which makes it easy to quickly locate information of interest by selecting the field of activity in question.

You will find the Directory menu in the left-hand column on this page. You can move forward by clicking on the link you are interested in, and a more detailed grouping will open up. The spectrum of associations is broad, allowing you to find hobbies ranging from sports and exercise to culture and friendship clubs.

The Association Directory was taken into use in September, 2008. The data stored in the directory will increase in volume as associations, societies and non-profit organisations update their own information.

Publicising the association's field of activities and contact information

A representative of an association may use his or her bank ID or a combination of a user ID and a password to register himself/herself as a directory user. In that case, the association will be able to update its contact information and briefly describe its activities, for example. Those registered as users of the Events Calendar may use the same ID to enter the Association Directory.

The content provider is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered.
