Arte’s 50th anniversary exhibition 29.1.-2.5.2010

The Wäinö Aaltonen Museum’s exhibition year starts by celebrating the 50th anniversary of the active middle-aged art association, Arte, with the exhibition The Big Picture. The exhibition reviews Arte’s history and activities over five decades. There are almost 200 works on display by some 80 Arte members over five decades.

Turku has received a new urban sculpture

Europe by Jits Bakker

The Dutch sculptor Jits Bakker has donated one of his works, a bronze sculpture entitled Europe, to the City of Turku. The sculpture is located in the Tervatori park at the end of Yliopistonkatu and Kutomokatu streets.
