Learning

The museum’s main exhibition includes an 18th century drawing room and chambers from the days of medical doctor Pipping. The oldest remaining pharmacy interior in Finland, from 1858, and workrooms dating from the self-sufficient period of the pharmacy are on display in the most recent section of the building.

Guided tours are organised in the summer and the Christmas holiday season. Guided tours for groups ordered in advance are organised throughout the year in three languages: Finnish, Swedish and English.

The renewed introductory exhibition provides good background knowledge for touring the museum independently. Guests are provided with a map and children receive their own guidebook included in the price of admission. You can borrow an audio guide and immerse yourself in the tour with the help of a dramatised guide. You can find a recently published guidebook in the museum shop.

School groups from Turku can utilise the guide material in the elämyspolku (experience path) section. Classes can visit the museum for free with their teacher all year round with the exception of May and June, when fieldtrip groups are given priority.
